To keep the catalog safe for the songwriters, publishers, and labels we represent, some categories of business aren’t currently eligible for a DekaSync license. Businesses whose goods or services fall primarily in any of the categories below can’t register at this time.

Individual rightsholders may also add their own restrictions on top of this list.

  • Tobacco and vaping

    Including e-cigarettes and related accessories.

  • Alcohol

    Brands, retailers, and producers of alcoholic beverages.

  • Gambling and betting

    Casinos, sportsbooks, lottery, and online betting.

  • Firearms and weapons

    Including ammunition and tactical equipment.

  • Adult content

    Sexually explicit or pornographic goods and services.

  • Political campaigns and advocacy

    Candidates, parties, PACs, and issue advocacy.

  • Religious organizations and proselytizing

    Promotion of specific religious institutions.

  • Cannabis and CBD

    Where federally restricted.

  • Pharmaceuticals and prescription drugs

    Including telehealth prescribing.

  • Cryptocurrency, NFTs, and speculative finance

    Tokens, exchanges, and trading platforms.
